Description
Walnuts are rolled around and coated in Okinawa’s famous rich kokuto “black” sugar. Kokuto is a traditional sugar made in Okinawa by slowly cooking down pure sugarcane juice into a soft, crumbly sugar with a complex flavor. The sweetness can be a bit intense, but balances nicely with the savory umami of the walnuts.
